LOVE IS WATER

Love is water
From an unlimited spring
It cannot help but flow
From one to another.
When boulders
Come crashing down
It trickles over and around,
Melting through, in time.
When dams are built
To control and stop
Love deepens and widens
Behind the wall
Patiently awaiting the breach.
Through pipes it travels
A billion miles
And some may turn their spigot off
But thirst will demand an opening.
And though we may despair
Beside the well gone dry,
The rain is falling
Somewhere
And the seas will never empty.
Look around and notice
How love cannot help but flow
To and through the river
That is your heart.
